Well, Im a beta tester so Ive had the Dashboard for a month now. My first expressions were: "Wow, I can move around the dashboard much faster" However I did find many bugs but they were ironed out by Microsoft before the official release....Thanks to us Beta testers  

Pros: I found the old dashboard pretty cramped specially when it comes to searching for games in the marketplace but now they've implemented the "Metro style" Tabs which is pretty AWESOME. Its got full integration of kinect and full voice recognition. I also found the dashboard pretty modern and pretty sleek. Plus the entertainement partners increased from 3 to 50!!! Heres the list of the new partners and the countries theyre available in!

It also has the new Beacon system which is pretty awesome. You can track your friend's activities and tell them automatically if you want to play a certain game or not.

Bro, how come when I go to "Vgchatz.com" it says that theyre migrating servers. I live in Newzealand and is it just me?

ugh, I hate the new dashboard. I don't see how you could say it is easier to navigate. If anything they made it harder, although it is about the same, but instead of pushing up you push a bumper. Things are buried within menus, ads are ridiculous for a service I pay for. netflix and hulu are near unusable now.

Every time microsoft has updated their dashboard they have just made things worse. This time more than any other time though. the nxe I was pretty ambivalent about, but this update is horrible.

They REALLY NEED A "FULL GAMES" FILTER IN THE MY GAMES SECTION.

Really sucks if you have 190 odd xbla games, and around 200 xbla demos.

The easy solution would be not to buy xbla games, but you wouldn't want that would you MS?

Ok, I have a friend who has a TON of XBLA games in his hard drive and he is disappointed on how it was not updated or enhanced through the new dashboard.

I told him that I was in the beta and I said that I could help him out. I then...have a new suggestion.

I know that for browsing games... there is a

"Games" bar where you can access "My Games" Tile OR Games > My Games

All games appear. However, its a nightmare to scroll from. Even thought there is already a "Show" Button available at the top left side. "Games > My Games > Show"

However, this Show Button only provides ONE filter... ONE FILTER!!!

Which are ALL--Demos--Arcade--Indie--Kinect--Recently Played--Recently Downloaded.

For my friend, he has a ton of arcade and indie games to choose from, so whenever he selects:

"Games > My Games > Show > Arcade" or "Games > My Games > Show > Indie"

It shows all Indie games. He always gets the old style tiles which are very cramped. And very very annoying.

SO HERES MY SUGGESTION:_______________________________________________

Usually when you select "Arcade" or "Indie" on the filter. The top left hand corner will be called "Show Arcade" or "Show Indie".

I saw this button change names from "Show" to "Show Arcade" and I said to my self... hrmmm, lets see if there can be a SECOND filter. Like when I select....

"Games > My Games > Show > Arcade > Show Arcade"

It will no longer show:

ALL--Demos--Arcade--Indie--Kinect--Recently Played--Recently Downloaded

But INSTEAD SHOW:

ALL--Alphabetical Order--Shooter--Adventure--RPG--(Insert necessary genres)--(Insert necessary genres)--etc.

You guys could use the Xbox Live Marketplace's Filter for genre filtering in the "My Games" section. Easy...

You can say that this might be too confusing but here's the catch:

Do you know when you go to Xbox.com forums? Theres a little dialogue that states
"You are here"...

Why not also add a just a little text box that says were you are. Like:

"You are here: My Games > Arcade > Shooter"

An issue of implementing this suggestion to the update.. "How can I get back to "My Games" without pressing the "Xbox Home" button?"

Well, heres another suggestion. There should be a "Back" Button/Tile beside "Show Arcade" in...

"Games > My Games > Show > Arcade"

Since, there is already a Dialogue "You are Here" at the person who is scrolling down his library of arcade games. He knows that when he presses the "Back" tile, he is aware on what category HE WILL BE IN.

When a gamer such as my friend selects one of the new filters.... such as "Shooter"

He should also be able to see ALL his Arcade Shooter games in ALPHABETICAL ORDER.
