Well, maybe all DS's are not the same, I'm not sure if my DS Lite charged on my ex's DS charger, I think it did though, so maybe it's your DS or you bought a faulty charger, I recommend you go into an Electric store with your DS and both your chargers and test the Step-Down Converter, that's what I did before paying for it.
