Is 360 still experiencing sellouts?

Why else would MS be undercutting supply so badly? Last year, they stuffed the channel so you know that production is capable of meeting demand easily.

 I think MS may have simply been caught off guard by the sheer quantity of people who want to upsell to the elite model. I think they were expecting that more people who picked up a 360 over the holidays to grab the cheaper model, so their manufacturing churned out tons of arcades while elites flew off the shelves.

It's possible, but I doubt it. The Core/Arcade has never sold in big numbers for MS so I doubt they would start churning out those units in favor of the Pro.

Plus, they make far more money on the Pro and Elite; they want people to buy those models.
