Nono I am not trolling. Learn the difference. Trolling is if I say the game outright sucks, doesn't deserve praise, and say Sony and especially the fans are lower human beings in general.
That sir is not what I am saying. I said that Uncharted 3, while impressive, still has a ways to move Halo type numbers and that Sony was inflating the initial sales with a widespread holiday bundle......all true statements and worded properly offcourse.
If it concerns the subject matter, its relevant as its a forum after all. Not relevant, then don't respond to it.
Are you implying that Forza is still beneath GT levels....and also saying that its common knowledge? Well sir its quite obvious that Forza is above GT now for obvious reasons (metacritic and frequency of game releases) but thats neither here or there. Introducing a debate into a friendly thread is fine.....as this is a forum. If someone wants to debate, they can click on the quote button. If not, then no harm done.
Well sir I am entitled to an opinion, im sorry if it doesn't compute with you. Again, were in a forum and I am not outright trolling. I personally believe that Uncharted is Sonys 2nd best selling exclusive (1st being GT). It sells nowhere close to MS 2nd best exclusive (Gears). I am entitled to say as an opinion that PS3 gamers don't comparatively care about their biggest exclusives.
We all have a bias and I don't care much for people on forums who try to act like some tree huggers, talking about how they love everything equally. Its human nature to have a favourite, to be competitive, and to be a fan of one particular group over another. The day im wrong is the day sports teams of ANY sport don't anymore loyal supporters.

I don't know what to tell you. I don't like Sony. I find pleasure in reinforcing my beliefs whenever relevant industry news comes out. But I do so in a way that doesn't get me banned. I word myself as properly as I can and support my claims instead of outright putting down whatever it is. It isn't a bannable offense to not like something and to talk about your views on it, even if it seems unwarranted from you. If you don't agree, then ignore. If not, then quote me and Ill get back to you as I am doing now.

Based off this post, I & everyone who's read this can easily conclude that you take your role in this childish, console "war" much too seriously.
And those things you call 'debates' are never reasonable. Debating with you is like debating with a 5 year old. You don't post to actually consider what people have to say. You post with pre-established commitments to NEVER alter your position, even when you are proven wrong. And when you are proven wrong, you resort to creating illogical guidlines, standards, regulations, and even definitions to suit your immovable agenda, while someone else tries to make sense out of what you said.
For an example of some of the ridiculous things you say, just look above at your GT vs Forza comment. You say Uncharted is far from Gears (you MUST be referring to sales since that's the only aspect where Uncharted lags behind Gears). I then say that's irrelevant and use GT vs Forza as an example. You then try to refute what I say by saying Forza is above GT due to metacritic & release frequency. You were JUST using sales as a reason to acknowledge one title as being above another. I then use sales acknowledge that one title is above another & you switch to other standards to fit your agenda. You create illogical standards & regulations like this all the time (I probably could find more if I wanted to) and it doesn't make you, nor this site, any better. |
well said, unfortunately this is what you are doing.

also, i do wonder how much gears of war franchise has outsold Uncharted. i dont think it is by that much.
here are my lifetime predictions of the Uncharted games.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune: 4.3 million
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves: 6.0 million
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception: 6.2 million
Total Lifetime Sales: 16.5 million
at max i think Gears will sell 18.5 - 19 million total.
