| VGKing said: Well most of those new studios are working on unannounced games. Its unlikely they'll be releasing any games on the 360. They're probably gearing up for the Xbox 720 launch. Which brings the question, how long till Xbox 720? Microsofts 1st party lineup is already really barren.(just take a look at this years releases, only 1 AAA first party game) Next year will be even worse. 3rd party support is basically the same as PS3. Why is the Xbox 360 having such an amazing year sales-wise when their exclusives are far in between? People could buy a PS3 and get the same exact experience. |
its pretty obvious why the 360 is outselling the ps3 in America actually. Most ps3 exclusives are relatively no name, very little hype titles, outside gaming websites of course. Why should an average gamer care that the ps3 has 10 exclusives coming out this year when even if they bought a ps3 they would have only bought call of duty, skyrim, battlefield and madden. The average customer doesn't care about infamous, killzone, resistance, socom, littlebigplanet, ratched and clank, etc.
The only big exclusives on the ps3 that the average person in the United States is interested in are uncharted, god of war, and metal gear solid. Americans are far more interested in Gears of War and Halo, and equally interested in Left 4 Dead and Fable, so they buy a 360 instead. The 360 also had the benefit of having an install base lead in a heavily online influenced generation. People want to play with their friends and so buy an xbox.
Sony's countless exclusives are relatively pointless since even most ps3 owners simply don't buy them. They need to focus more on having a few must have titles to gain some ground in the United States. In Europe of course where halo and gears aren't so big, the ps3 isn't having issues.
