I don't know what you are smoking but can you share with us contactto your dealer? ;) Also by revolutionize did you mean replicating pc gamers lan parties from 1990s ? :D |
Ummm yah sure, no there isn't a single game I can think of for PC or any other platform that utilizes three unique control devices each offering the player a unique advantage and disadvantage to the other players.
Yes utalizing the tablet and Wiimote and classic controller together or in any variation will offer an experiance that did not exist on any prior platform. Now someone mentioned Vita and PS3 capable of doing the same. yah if Sony takes Move the Dualshock and the Vita and utalizes all three devices in multiplayer games or mixes them up uniquely for different titles yes they could offer the same experiance.
Either way you look at it the gameplay described in my OP can't be done on any other platform. As such it is revolutionary.
Example the idea of mixing MMO, RTS and FPS has been tossed around for years. A command structure where some players play as a command unit (RTS) issuing orders from above while other higher ranking members level up the command chain using MMO style gameplay and powers while other players have an FP perspective. That idea could finally be done to its full potential yes I do know other developers have attempted similar things.
Fact is what these three control devices seperate or combined in a variety of combinations offer developers. Developers are capable of doing all kinds of things and when you give them this much freedom by offering them three different control styles that can all be utalized in multiplayer online or offline and in any combination. The possibilities are endless!
As for why their aren't going to be four controller compatability. The controllers themselves are being built as cheaply as possible so that they can be replaced cheaper. Nintendo is putting a ton of the components like processors and such and RAM in the actual console itself. So every controller that Nintendo adds raises the base price of the WiiU hardware. lets face it consumers are not willing to pay 600$ for a console that can utalize four controllers, maybe next generation the technology will be cheap enough but right now it would just cost too much.
