no clue if your job is for your whole life in japan but like here in german, were we say "others work to live and we germans live to work" in japan i think it's even worse and worse than in any other developed country.
it's honorable not to fire your employees but it's really not honorable that many japanese don't like their job and that has a reason.
but i've heard/read that the company loyality in japan isn't so big as it was 20 years ago maybe more and more people there start to enjoy their life and don't live only to work and sleep in their company.
