So I can think of only a single genre where Nintendo can't dominate next generation. That genre is Dance games because while the motion controls Wiimotes can give gamers a great dance game they just aren't capable of giving a superior experience to Kinect. But I started thinking up until now their have been certain genres that just couldn't be done on different hardware.

Major genre's that couldn't be done on console as well as PC for example were RTS and MMO. DS showed turn based strategy games could be done flawlessly and some lesser known RTS games showed the DS's controls were perfect for controlling RTS games. But the DS hardware wasn't capable of supporting a full blown RTS or MMO like those found on PC. But with WiiU you could use the tablet for all the buttons found in an RTS or MMO. Their is no reason that the tablet wouldn't be capable of giving the exact same kind of controls as found on PC.

Then there is FPS and some still prefer mouse but many others now prefer controller and some Wiimote. The Wiimotes for WiiU should be capable of giving gamers the most precise FPS controls in the industry. Those wanting classic controls will no doubt be able to use a classic controller if not the Wii one a new one for WiiU. those liking the mouse will get a similar experience with the tablet in fact a mouse peripheral sounds like a very likely out come.

The WiiU should be able to handle every genre (except dance) and game just as good as any gaming hardware on the market. Finally genre's like MMO and RTS can be created with the same precision controls as PC and other genre's should be suited perfectly for one of the WiiU's three major control styles.

In fact I am betting new genre's will emerge due to the new control systems in place and/or combination of them. Like using the Wiimote and tablet together as a single control device to give gamers an all new genre. Is their any genre you feel the WiiU will be incapable of offering? Or excelling at?
