Welcome back Monty! I used to be a frequent poster on here back in late '07/'08, then I felt the site lost some of its quality (not to mention simplicity) after its 1st major overhaul... especially the popups and ads all over the place that made the site so slow too load, and I even got a couple of malware infections when visiting the site on a couple of occasions, so I sparsely visited VGC for the past couple of years.
2011's been a good year for the site though... I really like the latest design, the forums are much improved over the previous versions, and the quality of the articles has seen an improvement as well. Although I'd prefer more focus on the news articles on the homepage so we don't get tons of threads reposting the same news info over and over just because the original VGC article is more than a few hours old and got buried under the latest updates.
