As my Mrs isn't interested in 3D at all, i have high hopes for those new Sony 3D headsets, just hope there not too expensive and review well in terms of being comfortable, as you have a completely separate screen per eye presumably there is no ghosting or crosstalk effects whatsoever. I bet they feel alot more immersive than any TV or projector as well, although eye strain might be more of an issue.
