I have a decent PC, but the graphics card holds me back. It is an ATI 4670. I'm not sure how well it can run Skyrim.

the recommended card is ATI Radeon HD 4890 , so you will probably run it at high setting , or maybe ultra.

Skyrim is a game that is very well optimized, the game looks great, its massive, and full of vegatation, dynamic weather and all that.  but in the same doesn't put a strain on your GPU, how is that possible? Bethesda did their homework... unlike ProjectRed and their Witcher 2 and Metro 2033 , i swear those game are so poorly optimized that i think they made them to just to force people to buy better graphics cards.

with each update there ara a bunch of bugs and hiccups on Witcher 2 , but i still haven't updated to 2.0

as for metro... well the game doesn't look that great to be honest, yet it is a resource hog
