I already told you that these examples are laughable. Quick tap buttons for SSB? The controls are already quick as it is. More complex controls? That would go against the core gameplay of SSB. Quick tap buttons for power-ups in Mario Kart? Apparently you don't know that you only carry one power-up at a time, so there's no difference between a normal button press and a quick tap button. I wish you actually sat down and thought about this before you made this thread. All you've really got so far is the suggestion to destroy the core gameplay of SSB in order to give the Wii U controller a purpose. This is ridiculous.

Now in the second paragraph you are getting there. You raise valid concerns why the Wii U is worthless. But as you said previously, these concerns don't belong in this thread. So what's this thread actually good for? Your personal humiliation?

So are you suggesting that Nintendo should keep all there games exactly the same?  No true innovation?  No trying anything new?  Guess we shouldn't have got any of the Mario games past Mario 1.  No Mario 3, that introduced flying, as well as other power-ups and a world map.  Super Mario World took that a step further, should have went back to the same Mario 1 formula.  Super Mario RPG, one of my favorite Marios, that's just too drastic a change.  Mario 64, screw that game, it was in full 3D and let you explore a 3D world.  Too drastic.  Mario Sunsine, Mario Galaxy 1&2; shouldn't have made those games, gameplay changed in those.  Heck, even NSBW had simultaneous multiplayer, that's nuts.  Should have just got clones of Mario 1, like the Lost Levels game we got in the US (Super Mario Bros. 2 in Japan).

While the above is hyperbole, it still illustrates a very good point.  Even with all the drastic changes Nintendo has made to the Mario formula, not mention their other franchises, you act as if it would be a HUGE stretch of the imagination if they added a little more depth to the Smash Bros. gameplay.  Or, God forbid, had it where you could pick up MORE THAN ONE power-up in Mario Kart and select between them with the tablet controller.  Sounds like a natural progression to me.

As for your petty humiliation comment, lol.  Yes, the internet is "serz biz."  And I get embarassed when people don't agree with me.  My life sucks like that.

You could switch between two power-ups in Mario Kart Double Dash without touch controls. If you are so sure about these troubles you really should be able to provide better examples than this, otherwise it just sounds like you want to see trouble where there is none, for various reasons.

What I find funny is that some of you are trying to find fault in my arguments by suggesting that touch controls aren't necessary.  So in essence you're saying, "That won't be an issue because the tablet and its touch controls, the thing that will be the MAIN draw to gamers and casuals who aren't exactly Nintendo fans, isn't needed.  Especially in Nintendo's main franchises."  So, what's the point to owning it then if its main feature isn't necessary?  Plus, I don't know what crazy things you think they will be doing with the tablet, but the things I described are very plausible applications of the tech.  I hope if they happen to do similar things with it, you guys aren't disappointed.
