Im going with they are porting the game or touching the rom I seriously doubt Ninty is updating the emulator this late in the game.  I just feel Capcom is going to pull another Mvs.C3, lets release the inferior version of the game and later on we'll release the version that should have been released in the first place. But WTH, they have been getting away with this all gen, so Wii only owners enjoy.

X-band was the first thing that allowed network play on consoles.  I just couldn't remember if it was Genesis only.
