Super Smash Bros. can simply be played by connecting Classic Controllers to the Wiimotes. Mario Kart is already playable with a Wiimote setup and the Wiimote/Nunchuk option in the Wii game was superior to the CC and GC controller setups. For other types of games, the Wiimote/Nunchuk setup is perfectly viable.

That's not the problem. The problem is some people will have the added benefits of a Wii U tablet with the screen, and accelerometers and such, and others won't have that benefit. It won't be fair to the ones with the Wiimote/CCP. He thinks that it will turn off gamers.
