What about?

World of Goo?

lol

Wait does Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Okami, Zack & Wiki or Tatsunoko vs. Capcom count?

I also don't get how Red Steel is considered AAA, but No More Hero's isn't. Isn't the budget behind those two games similar? Just because Red Steel was a launch title doesn't automatically make it AAA, it was just the best available at the time.

Wow, this is sad, but it shows how freaken awesome Nintendo is supporting their console so well. They hold that japanese mentality where they will not let themselves be overtaken by the much larger and wealthier companies.....not like SEGA.

Just wish they didn't switch Pikmin 3 to Wii U and that Nintendo finally announced those two JRPGs for release in Americas.

None of the games you mentioned counts, except Red Steel. It was rumored that it's development budget was €10 million (not $10 million like I previously said). While this was never confirmed, the signs of a AAA title were visible, because it was marketed quite heavily. Of course the game itself wasn't particularly good, because a big development budget doesn't necessarily lead to a high quality game. See Too Human. The only reason why the mention of Red Steel seems so off to some people in this thread is because they think that AAA has to do something with the Metascore when it doesn't.

No More Heroes in no way had a similar budget, because the developers threw a party when the game sold 400k units (perhaps even earlier). Such an amount of sales would be a failure for a AAA title and that wouldn't be a reason to celebrate.

Too Human is awesome fool.

What about Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, or Guitar Hero/Rock Band games? Or Okami?
