EA's Origin service is rotten to the core.

Not to say Origin isn't a cheap imitation with many problems and no advantages over steam from a consumer point of view but to blame BF3's issues on it is rather strange.

The support team has all but told us that the Origin network is to blame, I got my mail (finally last night) after havig waited a couple of days. As is, the game is largely unplayable for hundreds of thousands, I'm one of them.

Really? That is weired, I wonder if they are blaming the 360 issues on Origin as well?
