KK after a quick re-check I'm sure it sold less than 20k in its 49th week (more like 15/17k), it came out in the last week of the year 2004 in Japan, so the 49th week was in Dec. 2005.
As for the price? Idk and Idc.

I wonder why it wasn't selling so good. Games always sell good in their first and second Christmas season. Maybe it's just this gen that games have been doing that?

Yea I agree on that, disappointing sales for a month of December, (it was doing 25/30k WW, still disappointing).
As for this gen making games sell a lot in holidays that's probably true, ads averywhere and good games for most of them, that's enough.
Also, nowadays when people think about a gift for someone, they tend to think more and more of games, maybe.
