We'll see how the legs keep both games running, but as far as this year goes, it sounds reasonable. Call of Duty is a huuuuuge name in the industry. Even if people aren't as hyped for MW3, it's one of those games in the back of millions of minds as "oh, yeah, call of duty, of course I'll buy the new one."
Now, whether or not the game stays fresh enough and brings enough new to the table to keep gamers happy remains a question. Also an interesting question (and one NO ONE ever talks about..) is that there are 3, yes three, studios working on this game.:
1) Infinity Ward
2) Sledgehammer Games
3) Raven Software
Is it a good idea to have multiple different studios working on the same project? Will it feel like different parts of the games are pulled in different directions depending on which studio worked on which part? We'll see when the game comes out.. it will definitely be interesting.
It will also be interesting to see how the "new" infinity ward is, considering numerous key members of the development team left. They're basically a different studio with the same name...
