Shigeru Miyamoto winning this contest was a foregone conclusion, because he created the most iconic video game characters. It's nothing short of a miracle that Hideo Kojima even made it into the semifinals, if you think about it. Ask a random person on the street if they know Super Mario and most people will know what you are talking about. Ask them if they know Solid Snake and you most likely get kicked in the nuts for being a sick pervert.
