Indeed it was (the numerous, numerous draw your partner to the switch mechanics were the worst parts 
). That said, I found the actual adventuring and combat to be more satisfying than PH or ST. Probably would have liked it less if I didn't play it on the 3DS. The slide pad made movement loads better.
