And this is why Amnesty International is a fucking joke.
Canada can, in theory, arrest George Bush. America can, in theory, arrest every single person who works for or with Amnesty International as a suspected terrorist under the Patriot Act. Neither of these things is a good idea.
This would completely obliterate American-Canadian relations and America would put all of its might behind getting him freed. The trade agreements would likely be cancelled; America would probably call for sanctions on Canada; the two countries would be on the brink of war.
That an organisation that claims to be peaceful and to support the cause of liberty should recommend such an idiotic course of action is disturbing.
