Well, according to Eurogamer, Sony announced 8.8 million more units shipped at E3, which was in the beginning of June.  So Sony had shipped ~800K more controllers during Apr-early June.  Most likely this guy is using old numbers, as Sony is infamous for doing sometimes.  I would guess it would have to be past 9 million shipped by now.  Hopefully, Sony will have new numbers released along with the financial report.  Either that or have a "over 10 mil units shipped" announcement.

I think you're on the ball here. Only selling 300k in the space of approx 6 months is mindbogglingly bad and i cant believe these numbers are accurate, especially as the move controllers have been on sale.No doubt we will updated figures soon.
