What is a softmod? Different, but almost the same as a game copy device?

Pretty much the same functions, however, withot opening your console, soldering stuff, and very easily reverseable.

The story is kinda funny, given that to backup Wii games you need nothing more than a softmod and the console itself, this tightens the noose very slightly around DS backups however, since they are done by flashcart.
