yes...and I don't see what this has to do with DD.
You do know that Sony and Microsoft have already been using that model this gen (and probably gens past). Sell the console at a loss (Give away the razor), make it back on all the games sold (profit on the blades).
OT: I don't know about going fully DD, but having all games available for download and in retail seems the best. Which, as Twesterm seems to be saying, would pretty much be exactly like steam.
