hmm, lemme see here, an absurd show made up of 40% stupid cutaway scenes, 20% extended gags that last too long, and only 40% content (Family Guy), a spinoff series nobody wanted (Cleveland), and a show about supposed life lessons which are really shallow and that any 'liberal' could write (American Dad), vs a show that actually has the guts to tackle real world issues, have real heart, and actually have a plot, in spite of its occasional shortcomings.
Of the three, american Dad is the only one I don't hate anymore. I NEVER liked the Cleveland show (Watched like 5 epsiodes before giving up), Family Guy used to be funny but it's clear they ran out of materal years ago, so they rely on gags that drag on and on 10X as long as they should, not to mention they STILL fill like half their episodes with stupid cutaway gags. American Dad started rocky but is pretty good now, I actually look forward to that one.
Southpark, Futurama, and Robot chicken are all decidedly better than anything put out by Seth McFarlane. Seth shoulda been put out of business years ago and let his shows be remembered fondly. Instead he's overstayed his welcome.
My rankings:
Simpsons
South Park
Futurama
Robot Chicken
American Dad
Family Guy
The Cleveland Show
