Hate it. It is way overdone in a lot of movies and even blu-ray has a hard time keeping up resulting in plenty of compression artifacts. I'm sitting 9ft away from a 92" screen and movies like Cloverfield are painful to watch.
I love movies that zoom out and show lots of things at once so you can scan the scene and see new things every time you watch.

Bring on 48fps movies eh

on topic it's way overused these days, it's like no one can do good action anymore so they have to hide it with shaky cam

I know it's supposed to make you feel like you are there, but when you are running you don't see the whole world shaking around you. Children of men does a far better job of putting you right in the action without resorting to overly shaky camera footage. That movie has some of the most immersive long continuous shots I've ever seen. I hope Alfonso Cuarons' next movie Gravity will be just as amazing.
