You can either connect the dots or believe the cheap excuse that the PSP suffered from piracy.

Piracy was rampant on both the DS and PSP, yet software sales on the DS were still doing fine. Why is that? Because the possibility to pirate games doesn't make honest customers buy less software. What makes them buy less software is the lack of compelling software. The DS had those games, so people kept buying them. The PSP has them in Japan, that's why they sell over there.

Somehow the PSP is the first system to suffer massively from piracy, but in reality this is just being said, because it's easier than admitting that the PSP by and large lacks games that are worth buying (and the ones that are, are mostly Japanese-centric, so don't sell much in the West anyway).


Another thing is demographic, but this argument can go on for awhile, and I rather watch Doctor Who! Good day Rol!
