lol...why is this even a question (Wii U having more RAM than current generation systems)? It is using a CPU and GPU that is 2 generations higher compared to current generation systems. The logical thing is to at the very least DOUBLE the amount of RAM that any of current system has. Jeez, look at the 3DS (128MB FCRAM) and Vita (512 MB of DDR3) and one can see where the next generation of consoles are headed. Unless one is a Nintendo hater, it's easy to see the Wii U is gonna be a beast when it comes out!!!

It's because when the N64 came out it wasn't as powerful as the Playstation and Saturn. The GC was sub-par as compared to PS2 and XBox. The only Nintendo system that was above current-gen graphics was the Virtual Boy, and the Wii close behind it.

The N64 was more powerful than the Playstation and Saturn. Also the GC was more powerful than the PS2.

o,0 you don't say

Level1Death is correct. It's okay for being wrong, you're just a product of fanboy hype, bias, and ignorance. But hey, now you know!

I'm excited for the Wii U, but I also feel like it's going to be a repeat of this last generation as far as power goes. Nintendo used to be a powerhouse console developer, but they've apparently learned not to overshoot and now undershoot their competitors. It's fine but I do wish it was even more powerful.
