Well, the Japanese studios have the best games, so I'm not really worried. If Ubisoft made better games, then I guess it would be worth paying them money too. Don't forget that Nintendo is sitting on a very large sum of money from their successes last gen.
For the record, I'm pretty sure that Nintendo offered Capcom a bunch of money/incentives to put Monster Hunter on the 3DS.
