With all these rumours we're pretty much set up for massive disappointment...

Yah this happens prior to every Nintendo press conference. People go nuts with rumors and fans get so hyped that when the conference happens and Nintendo doesn't live up to the rumors everyone is dissapointed. Usually I would air on the side of caution and not believe shit until Nintendo confirms it.

However in this case Nintendo has no choice but to deliver. Its ability to crush PS Vita is at stake here and its ability to compete against the smart phone market is also at stake. Sony is showing off 18 new unrevealed titles for Vita all expected to launch within the launch window. That would bring Sony's launch line-up to nearly 40 games last I heard.

Nintendo even with its head start doesn't have that many games on the market. Not to mention the titles announced for PS Vita are almost all well known AAA+ franchises. What about these new 18 titles?

Nintendo has lacked one thing since launch, software. If Sony can launch a huge line-up of successful titles with Vita and Nintendo doesn't have a huge line up to counter with. Then Nintendo will have a hard time keeping Sony under control, they may even challenge Nintendo's iron grip on the handheld industry. If Nintendo looses the handheld war it will be the first time in its history.

So my expectations are high, I expect Nintendo to give us everything they've got at this conference. New first and third party titles all coming within the Vita launch window. New hardware like the peripheral. Nintendo will not hold back this time round, they can't!
