It's likely going to have some emasculated theme so I'm not personally excited.

If they're going to make a new Yoshi game, damn just put a real effort into it. Yoshi's island was excellent. Now repeat plain and simple. Problem is Nintendo doesn't have the leverage for that, it would take a tremendous amount of resources to dedicate quality AAA effort to all its IPs. In that case, take the good and scrap the rest.

I actually am a big fan of Wario Land: Shake It! 

Kirby's Epic Yarn is pretty good too, despite it being far too easy.
