Thanks for the info. We joked about him but really, we were more concerned about his well being than anything.  It's good to know he's still okay.  If you don't mind, how about sending him a message via PSN (it doesn't do cross game chat so I guess you have to manage somehow.....) and tell him that the forums aren't the same without him.  And congrats on the baby!  A good genome, I'm sure!!
