Also loved original Deus Ex, although I have to try out game of the year edition. Barely played Invisible War, but I read that is a non issue. I have played just about every MGS game (except very first pc version which was ported to nintendo anyways lol, and the gamecube version, but already played the superior ps1 version) and some elements definitely remind me MGS stealth aspects. The augs work pretty well, but you can't (atleast on the difficulty i'm playing) rely on them fully, you have to rely more on your own skills and plan out your attacks, the augs are just a mean to better your approach on the matter.
in my play style, i use hacks a lot , but i also tend to avoid fights as much as possible, so most of the time i don't even knock down enemies, i just avoid their sight all together and use vents for example.
