It could very well be wrong - but you also have to remember that the West has had virtually no software of any consequence for close to two months now. That's part of the reason the price cut hasn't lifted software - if you're cheap enough to wait say, two years from last price cut to save some money on PS3 you probably aren't buying much new software when so much used software is available, particularly without the recent hits. The current systems on the market, other than PSP which has highly reduced shelf space now still have their major hits available new for cheap prices as well.
