I think this Holiday will be dominated by the 3DS and 360.

3DS sales are high now due to the Price Cut and should be high again next week because America and Others sales should both increase. I expect it to continue to sell over 150K a week for the rest of the year. As I have been saying since the 3DS sales were low and everyone was calling it a failure...3DS will be fine and sell very well. This Holiday will be HUGE for the 3DS!

360 will be the #1 selling Home console Worldwide this Holiday selling big #'s and outselling the PS3 for the year 2011. Kinect will be the main reason for the big 360 sales during the Holiday's. I expect 360 to replace the Wii as the Holiday Console this year.

Without a price cut, it will be hard for the 360 to top either the Wii or PS3 for the holidays in total WW numbers (not to mention, I doubt it would erase the PS3's current lead). The 360 will likely win in the Americas, but nowhere else (price cut or not).

I'm just curious as to how you see that happening.

First of all, Hello, I haven't talked to you in a while LOL.

Even without a Price Cut I see the 360 outselling the PS3 in America this Holiday. Also, the PS3 just isn't a Holiday System like the Wii or  360 is which means the the Wii and 360 are likely to get bigger Holiday boosts compared to the PS3.

I will admit that when I said that I expect 360 to dominate this Holiday I assumed that 360 will be getting a Price Cut. If the 360 doesn't get a Price Cut it could possibly still be #1 in America(Small lead) but won't be #1 Worldwide for sure. With a Price Cut though I see the 360 being #1 Worldwide this Holiday...and yes erasing the PS3 2011 gap.

For example, if 360 gets a Price Cut to $150 and Kinect gets a Price Cut to $100, the bundle could be only $200. A $200 360 Kinect bundle would sell extremely well in America and do quite well in Others too.(Not $200 Euros but a similar Price Cut for Europe)
