I guess I'm just a better multitasker than you lol jk. I understand not wanting to talk to someone playing a engaging story or watching a movie, but in multiplayer(which I mainly do) or If I'm sitting at the dashboard waiting for something to download, I like to talk to people. When I played Portal 2 I was able to keep conversation at the same time concentrating on the game, no problem. Some friends join a party and they want to know about the game I'm playing like I was doing in Portal. I guess I'm just use to talking to people while playing a game because I do it a lot now. I would understand for someone that mainly plays single player games or has never used the feature very much might not care for it, but I have done it so much now it doesn't distract me when playing a game. For the most part, when I'm in a party with someone we usually talk about gaming not just out of the blue stuff. I know talking to you, your not the general audience, but I'm sure most PS3 owners would love to have this feature on PSN. |
What I don't get is what's so pressing that you have to talk to that person whilst your console is on?
If my console is background downloading and I have no real interest in using it at the time then I either switch it to fold or switch it to standby before moving on to something else. I suppose maybe it's because I don't particularly know about 80% of my list but the rest that I do know, I don't feel its necessary to converse with them extensively whilst playing the same game let alone playing completely different games.
