Include a few years worth of holiday sales (around 700k in the hottest weeks), and the fact that Sony will still support the PS3 in the BRIC countries (especially India) years after the PS4 has launched, and you'll come to the conclusion that there is a small chance. Sure, it is very unlikely, but its not a ludacris suggestion. |
I will not come to that conclusion.
It is ludicrous.
I already included christmas sales in that "lets assume it sells 30% better than it has been for the entire of the next 216 weeks" thing. This is unrealistic. The PS3 will NOT average 164 554 for the next 216 weeks, and the Wii will not average 0. I was presenting best case for the PS3, and even worse than the worst possible case for the Wii. Even with that generosity, it still would not occur before the PS3 had dropped to meaningless sales levels.
