3DS sales, despite the negative publicity, weren't exactly terrible before the pricecut (they just weren't staggeringly good, esp not by nintendo's recent standards)
I'm fairly certain it was just a price factor for many and this'll give the machine the boost it needs and desereves until the christmas season kicks in and decent games start hitting the shelf then it'll go ballistic...by this time next year this slight hiccup in nintendo's resume will be forgotten (am I the only person who seems to remember waiting something like a year for anything good to come out for the original ds? and even then it was something like 'YOSHI's TOUCH and GO'!!! Kids today bitching about lack of quality games in launch lineups don't know how lucky they've got it!!!! WHY I ORTA!!!!)
