With Android tablets continuously becoming cheaper and more powerful; handheld gaming is becoming more hostile for both the 3DS and Vita. Thankfully, the 3DS has the glasses-free 3D as their selling point; as well as a mainstream price. Things are not looking good for the Vita in my opinion as it must compete with a cheaper and more established 3DS; along with powerful and capable tablets coming and currently in the market.
FYI...I too just picked up the 3DS as the price was just wayyyyy tooo good to pass up (I believe $250 is too pricey for any gaming handheld like 3DS, PSP, and PSV) especially since it released a remastered OoT in 3D glory!
