However, they do come off as the losers. Just not as big as losers as they could have been. (I assume, that the settlement was heavily favorable to LG, since the way the article presents stuff). (Given I am jumping to conclusions, and we don't know the full agreement).
Remember to LG, they most likely rather receive money on product sold due to agreements (higher revenue source) compared to the alternative of banning competing product . Plus if the cases continued it could have been painful for both companies.
