So now the argument changes. First you say "PS3 fans don't care about the exclusives anymore" and now it's "they don't care about sequels". Interesting. Killzone 3 is actually tracking ahead of Killzone 2 in the same time frame, & Uncharted 2 already outsold Uncharted 1. inFAMOUS 2 just came out a few months ago and is tracking right with it's predecessor (which in fact, could go on to outsell it). All complimentary examples. Outside of the semantics, your comment was baseless. Plain and simple. I only used the 360 as an example (whether the discussion is about it or not) because in that context, it made sense. It could only have struck a nerve if there's some truth to it. For instance, Fable III didn't outsell Fable II. Crackdown II sold less than it's predecessor. Does that mean people care less for 360 exclusives? What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Remember that. |
Never did.....my examples were all exclusives with a previous release on PS3. They are still exclusives but clearly you saw me ONLY referring to sequels under performing to a previous PS3 release.
I just checked the 10 week totals of KZ2 and KZ3.....3 is tracking below. Infamous 2 is tracking slightly below part 1 in the same 9 week timeframe. But again....its not encouraging to see sequel sales tracking slightly lower when they should be higher if these exclusives are truly "worth buying". Nice try.
And thanks for confirming my origional sentiment that Uncharted 2 was the sole exception. All though Uncharted 3 might just track lower, well see.
I matched you point for point here. Sequel exclusives just underwhelm in sales.
And your right, 360 users dont care about non Halo/Gears/Forza exclusives. But that was a given. The truth that ps3 gamers dont care about their exclusives (with ps3 sequels) is still a cleverly concealed truth.
