It provides some good reasons but I am not a fan of using history to predict gaming success/failure. In the end, it will come down to two things - the forthcoming games AND the launch of the PS Vita. Im wondering if the increasing hype around the PSV will shadow the hype/sales of the nintendo IPs - dont think it will affect games sales/success but Im sure the focus on the PSV will hurt the 3DS in comparison (if not for too long).
