You don't know much about statistics do you?  A sample size of 12,000 is huge for a population the size of the US.  Most political polling uses only 1000 as the sample size.  That gives you a margin of error of about plus or minus 3% at a 95% confidence level.  A sample size of 12,000 gives you a margin of error of only plus or minus 0.9% at a 95% confidence level.  With a sample this large we can use a confidence level of 99% and the margin of error is still only plus or minus 1.2%.

There still might be problems with the survey, but sample size is not one of them.

You say this like I think political pollings use good sampe sizes. I don't.

Unless Netflix themselves give numbers i find the info just plain unreliable. 12000 out of probably over 10M is nothing.
