So we're back to "Vita dead on arrival, 3DS is the holy grail of portable gaming" again? Cool.

My honest opinion? The 3DS is gonna suffer for a year or two. Or at least until Nintendo can put software out there that actually differentiates it from the rest. Better graphics aren't going to be enough. It's going to simply be seen as another DS upgrade that's more expensive because of the 3D feature.

The Vita will launch at the same price as the original PSP but with modern day features. Usage of the Touch Screen, motion sensors and Rear touch pad will not only immediately let everyone know that this is a new system (in addition to the name) but it also allows the Vita to receive the 1 or two dollar games people are already buying on smart phones. I say this because:

1) it's becoming increasingly clear that SONY's made this just as easy to develop for as any other handheld out there,
2) They're already looking into cheaper and smaller games with minis on the PSP and have said that pricing on PSV games will vary from really low to standard handheld console prices.
3) SONY seems to have no problem with publisher releasing free content at this point.
4) We're already seeing those forms of gameplay as possible on the system with Little Deviants.

PS Vita can offer modern day Phone portable styled games as well as console like experiences. There's been overwhelming developer and publisher acceptance for the system. Also, SONY themselves have admitted to under supporting the PSP after launch and said that development will be even between PSV and PS3 internally.

But if some people want to continue to assume that Nintendo always knows what they're doing while SONY will continue to be idiots and never try to improve their situation, more power to them.

I think what SONY has left to fix with the PSV is the pricing for EMEAA. It's just too high. Also, the lack of internal storage creates a barrier for those that are more interested in bite-sized games.
