Works out great for me. I thought the 3DS was worth the money when I paid $250 for it. I own most of the GBA games that I want and I don't really care for the Gamboy games but it still works out pretty sweet. We can have access to some great Gameboy Advance games without the cartridges and we get to play them on the superior 3DS hardware. I won't have to break out my DS Phat or DS Lite anymore.
