Strange, their figures show 155.19 - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=29643441&postcount=1

Read the titles...

PSP Worldwide Unit Sales/Production Shipments
PS2 Worldwide Unit Sales/Production Shipments
PS3 Worldwide Unit Sales

PSP and PS2 are two types of numbers: Unit Sales (shipped after FY2007) and Production Shipments (shipped before FY2007).

So the "March 31,2006 Cumulative Production Shipments of Hardware -> 103.69" was before FY2007 and it showed the number of PS2 in Sony's warehouses (not shipped to retail yet)... after that the number showed the PS3 shipped to retail.

In March 31,2006 (FY2006) Sony have 2-3 million units in warehouses and just shipped it in June 31, 2006 (FY2007).

These numbers are counted twice.

The lastest official Sony cumulative number is 150 million for 31th January, 2011... Sony shipped 2.6 million between January and June 2011. I can't say how much Sony shipped in the first 30 days of January but the best scenario for PS2 (shipping nothing in January) shows  156.6m lifetime.

152.3m seems a better number showing 0.3m shipped in January 2011 and others 2.3 million shipped til June 2011.

Sony is clear about that: http://www.scei.co.jp/corporate/release/110214_e.html
