What about specially and especially. I know, they are both valid words and their meaning's difference is too small. But why does everybody use especially?? It doesn't sound English at all. I'm the only one that ever uses specially. I'm special. But you aren't especial.

Especially and special aren't as connected as you think. Especially is used to single out one person, place, or thing. Specially isn't very common at all. It is just the adverb form of special.

- All you guys need to take showers, espescially you! Meaning everyone should take a shower, particularly you though.
- I want you to take your shower spescially. Meaning when you take your shower, do it in a special manner.

Specially and especially are the same word according to English dictionaries. They both mean particularly. The other uses you may give them are another case.
