The 3DS will never come close to the DS. How about these drawbacks, they are ones that actually do matter:

1) Atrocious battery life for Nintendo standards combined with a high price tag.

2) Virtually no sequels to DS games in sight.

3) Virtually every game features 3D gameplay.

As for the Wii U third party support, what confidence are you talking about? The Wii U is the successor to the system that couldn't sell third party hardcore games.

1) New models coming out.

2) Who cares

3) That goes hand-in-hand with what I said, otherwise it's irrelevant.

Wii U confidence, I'm talking about business confidence. They can trust that if they release a game on the Wii U, chances are it will sell. They can trust that the Wii U will sell in large numbers like its predecessor => large install base.

And you said it yourself in another thread, it could sell 3rd party hardcore games, even the bad ones in million numbers. Now I'm quoting you bud, I'll try to find the post. Anyways, this article isn't limited to core games I hope you realize that.

And here is the magic post: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=4153449

This is the most critical point. More people in the long run will care about Rol's second point than any of the other issues 3DS has going for it

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
