So a 20gig add on for a region that got their PS3 much later than the rest of the world all of sudden qualifies it as elite model? So waht does it have that is significantly more than what is already availible? You know like with the 360 the elite had a HDMI port and a huge increase to HDD (100gig more)

Just to Clarify you don't need to wait on a larger harddrive for the PS3 you can use any 2.5" laptop harddrive I believe so I really do not think you want to compare the price for an upgrade for the PS3 to that of the highly overpriced upgrade for the 120GB hard drive for the 360. I I understood alot of the people that bought the 20GB PS3 have already upgraded to 120GB laptop harddrive.

And to your other point I agree the 360 premium had alot of room for improvement . Although I don't see how you can justify selling 3 versions of the same system that claims...1)you don'y "need a hard drive ie. core 360. 2)well if you do want "some" system memory for a significant amount more here ie. "premium"360 3) we have so many plans for future downloads that we didn't see coming a little over a year ago and since we advertised HD graphics but didn't include the way to get Full HD to your TV here. ie. 360"elite".

The point is the 20gb PS3 was more Elite than the 360 Elite is. for right around the same price you get a game system that also plays bluray movies (it does have a lot les room on the harddrive but getting upgraded is alot cheaper on the PS3.) to gett all that the PS3 offers you'll have to pay $200 for HD-DVD player add on and some plug and play kits $20 each as well as $100 for WiFi and lastly pay that $60 a year for X-box Live. I'm not hating Microsoft here but the argument I am making is they rushed out with an inferior product and want to upgrade mid system. The HDMI is something Original 360 owners sould be pissed about. I aam fairly certain thats why both PS3s ended up coming with HDMI out as to not alienate the 20gb owners.
