your personal attack is unfounded and actually funny to me that you could sit here and get mad over an internet post of someone being totally honest. Trolling the thread from the begining wasn't a good start buddy so just relax. Im also pretty damn sure i spent alot more money on games then you have in 07.

If you look at the chart windbane just provided you will see that i purchased 4 games in 2007 in the psp top 20 rankings. all of which i had downloaded the full game before hand but felt they were well worth paying for.

Yet during that first year you still felt justified stealing games. I don't care how you justified it, it is still wrong and you're the reason why the PSP doesn't have the library it should have.

You can sit there and convince yourself that it was because it didn't have games worth paying for, that you just wanted to test them out first, that you were making backups, or that you aren't the one that enabled the pirating, but the simple truth is that you did pirate the games and you are one of the people that are fucking up the game industry.

And you spent more money than me in games in 2007? What a big man you are. Well I guess that makes stealing all those other games all right then. Why don't I go rob a liquor store for lets say $1000 and then tell the officer that it's alright because I spent $1500 on liquor in 2007.

The blu-ray rips for PSP use is the greatest announced feature, though, and should put an end to UMD movies.

As for the quoted post: he's saying, like thousands of others have said, that if you use custom firmware it is hard to justify buying games. Still, it's a great media device even without buying games. About the games...there are more games 75 and higher on gamerankings.com than the DS (yes, I know some are ports, similar to PS2 games, etc, etc...the fact is there are a lot of great games on the PSP...in fact, 101 over 75%).

Wow, a big list of games, congratulations. How well do you think all those games sold? I'm not denying the PSP has some decent games (it's fun to joke it doesn't like people like to joke the Wii is two Gamecubes duct taped together) unless you're a big name like Final Fantasy or the likes, I'm guessing they don't sell too well.

Developers aren't idiots and know that pirating is rampant on the PSP so when given the choice of making a game on a handheld, the PSP doesn't look like the best choice. Would you want to put in 100+ hour weeks into a game just so some little snot can download it for free and take away money from your paycheck? No, of course not.

 

Given the sort of modchips coming out for the PS2 now (http://www.engadget.com/2007/11/07/playstation-2-modchip-on-a-memory-card-now-on-sale/) you'll see that if people have some time with the wii there will be a definate chance of some sort of memory card or flash hack to completely open the wii to piracy without any potentially risky modchip installs. While i'm not trying to debate the fact that developers aren't interested in the psp because of piracy issues, what you are saying of the PSP now could potentially happen to the Wii in short order. The immense success of the Wii will be a driving force behind some sort of ultra-easy way to pirate games, imo.
